The Basic HR questions you can expect is ?

These are just general answers - never gonna work out .So please have your own answers which is better.

1.Tell me about yourself
The most often asked question in interviews. You need to have a clear crispy intro ,not boring common one, select some important really good one and tell it first . Talk about things you have done well at your college and how you wanted to perform in the first job.

2. Why Should We hire You?
For this question, your answer should list out strengths that you feel are relevant to the job. Given below are some basic answers ,please try something different -interviewers will be really bored with these following answers.

I have good co-ordination skills
Good analytical skills
I can persuade people to see my point of view, and get the work done
My greatest asset is my ability to motivate people
Even during emergencies, I do not loose my cool
I have good entrepreneurial skills
I have consistently met my deadlines and targets
Can say “no” to people when required to do so!
I am very co-operative with my sub-ordinates, and would like to see them grow
I am a good team player
I am very flexible, and have the ability to work hard under difficult work conditions
I have the experience and knowledge relevant to this job (Here, give appropriate details and examples)

3. Do You Have Offers From Other Companies ?
The answers are upto you .....

4. What Salary Are You Expecting?
Simple question you really know how much they gonna pay you.

5.Why you want to join this company ?
Think and tell . Dont have the ready made answers .

6.. Do you consider yourself successful?
You should always answer yes and briefly explain why. A good explanation is that you have set goals, and you have met some and are on track to achieve the others.

7. What do co-workers say about you?

8. Do your skills match this job or another job more closely?
Probably this one. Do not give fuel to the suspicion that you may want another job more than this one.

9. What motivates you to do your best on the job?
This is a personal trait that only you can say, but good examples are: Challenge, Achievement, Recognition

10. Are you willing to work overtime? Nights? Weekends?

11. Can you tell us about a challenging situation at work you have encountered so far? How did you tackle it?

12. I would like to hear about some experience from your work life so far.

13. Give us an instance when you failed in spite of your best efforts?

14. Tell us about what you consider as your weak area- things you find difficult to manage.

15. Where do you see yourself in the next two/five/ten years?

16. Tell us about your goals- both short term and long term.


(To Over all - before answering try to be clear and smart never let your answers to prove yourself as a man of conflicts )

Questions to ask the HR :

(But for college students ,please be aware - Don't ask some stupid questions which they already answered in their PPT)

Would you be able to tell me about this company’s vision/philosophy?
How would you evaluate this organization’s strengths and weaknesses?
I would like to know a little about my day-to-day responsibilities.
I am really interested in this opportunity and I feel I have the required skills for this position. What would I have to do next?

Some Tips :

1.The four P's really hold the HR interview.
Don't read them as a word , feel it (POLITE, PROFESSIONAL , POSITIVE ,PRACTICAL)
If you hold this four P's in your HR interview ,you are in .

2. Never discuss too much on salary .


Some things which will really suck are :

1. Oversell
Trying too hard to impress; bragging; acting aggressively.

2. Undersell
Failing to emphasize the fact that you have related skills; discussing
experience using negative qualifiers (i.e. "I have a little experience...").

3.Body Language
It is easy to create a negative impression without even realizing that you are doing it. Are you staring at your feet, or talking to the interviewer's shoulder? Be aware of what your actions say about you.

4.Lack of Honesty
The slightest stretching of the truth may result in you being screened out.

5. Negative Attitude

6. Lack of Preparation You have to know about the organization and the occupation. If you don't, it will appear as though you are not interested in the position.

7. Lack of Enthusiasm
If you are not excited about the work at the interview, the employer will not assume that your attitude will improve when hired.
